He is also infamous for his family movies, including the Spy Kids Series, and Sharkboy and Lavagirl. Due to the low quality, and cheesiness of his family movies, he has gained an ironic following online, gaining memes including Somebody Ring the Dinkster, and He Ruined My Dream Journal.
