Origin

Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl were released in September 2006 in Japan and throughout 2007 for the rest of the world, marking the launch of the fourth generation of Pokémon video games. The belief that there will be remakes of these games stems from the fact that there had been remakes of the Pokemon generations prior to Diamond and Pearl. Because the remakes of Generation I were released during the Generation III, Generation II during the Generation IV, and Generation III during the Generation V games, many fans believe that Generation IV would be revived during Generation VI. This lead to certain fans looking for details in the Generation VI titles that would hint at a remake of the Generation IV games.
